Det er et stykke tid siden, I sidst har hørt fra os, og det skyldes den vanskelige situation, som Folkecenteret befinder sig i. Fjernelsen fra Finansloven har haft alvorlige konsekvenser for vores arbejde, men vi kæmper videre i håbet om, at situationen vil ændre sig. For cirka en måned siden gav Jane Kruse, Folkecenterets direktør, et interview, hvor hun uddyber situationen og de udfordringer, vi står overfor. Interviewet kan findes nedenfor.

It has been a while since the last newsletter and this is due to the complicated situation in which Folkecenter finds itself in. The removal from the Danish State Budget had terrible impacts on our work, but we continue to fight, hoping that the situation will change. Approximately a month ago, Jane Kruse, Folkecenter's director, released an interview explaining better the situation and the challenges we are facing. The interview, which can be found below, is in Danish. The international audience can activate the sub-titles with the automatic translation. Here is how to do it: 1) Open the video. In the bottom right there is an icon CC. Click on it, so that a red line appears underneath. 2) On the right of CC, you will find a gear. Click on that and under "Subtitles" select "Auto-translate" and then your language. Please, note that best translations are obtained towards English. Generalforsamling i Folkecenterets Støttekreds / General Assembly of Folkecenter's Support Group | |

Den årlige generalforsamling i Folkecenterets Støttekreds blev afholdt den 29. juni i SkibstedFjord konferencecenter. Hvis I ikke havde mulighed for at deltage, kan referatet fra mødet findes via linket nedenfor. Blandt de vedtagne beslutninger godkendte generalforsamlingen nogle ændringer i medlemskontingentet: De nye satser træder i kraft fra januar 2026.
Enhver ekstra donation er meget velkommen og vil hjælpe os i denne udfordrende tid.

The yearly General Assembly of Folkecenter's Support Group was held on June 29th in the SkibstedFjord conference center. In case you could not join, the minutes of the meeting can be found at the link below. Among other decisions, the General Assembly approved some changes in the membership fees: - The household / family fee is discontinued
- The yearly fee for individuals is raised from the current 100 DKK to 200 DKK (from approx 14 € to 28 €).
New fees will come into force from January 2026. Any additional donation is very welcome and will help us in these complex times. | |
